This activity will be used to initially prompt students thoughts and ideas on climate change. Students will be spit into two teams and asked to have a 10 second think about words or phrases that relate to climate change. The teacher will place the words climate change on an opposite wall. When the time starts students will have three minutes to think of as many words or phrases as they can and write them on post it notes. They must then run and place it on the wall. Students must only go one at a time to place it on the wall similar to a relay. They must also not write down their word until the previous person is back.
This relay helps students to think about all the different elements and aspects of climate change. It will also be beneficial as it prepares and motivates students for the unit of work.
