lesson 1
lesson overview
The purpose of this lesson is to identify what information students will be required to research in order to complete their assessment task. Students will be given the opportunity to contribute in the creation of a research checklist that will be used to guide their research and ensure they are staying on track with relevant and useful information. This checklist will be broken into 3 categories: Country (what information will be needed about the country), Character (what information will be needed about their character) and Check that you have…(a list of this students must remember when researching). Students are given time within the lesson to start their research. They then come together in their small groups to share their information and talk about what used by others, and what else they will need to research. Students are also given time to fill their information into their checklist to easily keep track on their progress.
